Arsenal Get Back To Winning Ways

Olivier Giroud of Arsenal rounds goalkeeper Artur Boruc of Southampton before scoring the opening goal during the Barclays Premier League match between Arsenal and Southampton at Emirates Stadium on November 23, 2013 in London, England

The Premier League swung back into full force yesterday with League leaders Arsenal hosting the surprise package of the season so far Southampton. It was important for Wenger’s men to get back to winning ways after the loss to title rivals Manchester United just before the International break.

The Gunners started brightly taking the incentive as the home side to press Southampton from kick off, Jack Wilshere who capitalised on some slack defending by Saints Centre back Fonte attempted an audacious chip over Artur Boruc who saw the ball cannon back to him gratefully off the upright. Aaron Ramsey saw his impudent back heel come back off the same post just a mere seven minutes later.

Enter the Polish calamity that is Artur Boruc, The Southampton keeper failed to clear a simple backpass trying several cruyff turns to try and lose the pressing Giroud who dispossessed the keeper and tapped into an unguarded net, Saints boss Pochettino looked furious as he had every right to be.

This seemed to wake Southampton who created a few good chances of their own from England new boys Adam Lallana and Jay Rodriguez who brought out some good saves from Arsenal keeper Wojciech Szczesny who for most part was untroubled.

The second half was much of the same and quite even, it was not until the 86th Minute when Arsenal put the game out of Southampton’s reach, Fonte was adjudged to have pulled Per Mertesacker’s shirt and Arsenal were awarded a penalty, Which Giroud converted with aplomb.

This was not a vintage Arsenal display by any means but was a professional performance which appears to now be in their locker. These were the type of games a year ago that Arsenal would be dropping points in. Szczesny looked comfortable all game, the back four looked solid and are working as a unit, The Midfield has been the cornerstone of success for Arsenal so far this season and the main reason why they sit top after 12 league games. Giroud lead the line well again, his work rate is sensational he does not stop making runs for 90 minutes game in game out.

Arsenal will now look to Tuesday night and the visit of French side Marseille and could wrap up top spot in the “Group of death”. Marseille boss Elie baup is expected to rest players ahead of clash with his side sitting bottom and with zero chance of qualification from the group and have not taken a single point so far.  An Arsenal win and a slip up from Napoli against Borussia Dortmund will see Arsenal clinch qualification.

Arsenal’s Approach For The Visit Of Title Rivals Liverpool Must Change

Mikel Arteta (2ndL) of Arsenal celebrates scoring his penalty with team mates during the Barclays Premier League match between Crystal Palace and Arsenal at Selhurst Park on October 26, 2013 in London, England

Arsenal currently have no less than seven players on the treatment table (who you would consider as being part of the first team) probably the most important one is comeback kid Matthieu Flamini who has proved many wrong with his performances since returning to the Emirates, they say you should never go back, Flamini (out with a groin problem) has proved there is an exception to every rule, he along with the likes of Aaron Ramsey and Mesut Ozil have been the main protagonists in Arsenal good early form.

So where does this leave the shape of Arsenal’s midfield for the visit of title challengers Liverpool. With there being no recognisable Defensive Midfielder currently in the first team, is it time to try something a little different? maybe playing Mikel Arteta deep alongside Thomas Vermaelen, Arteta’s passing has never been in question you just have to look at his passing stats from the last two seasons to aid weight to that claim but defensively he has a lot to prove, he is not the strongest and playing him alone with another creative midfielder has often left Arsenal’s back four an easy target for visiting teams at the Emirates. Someone like Vermaelen could add that stability and allow Arteta to concentrate on what hes good at.

There are other possibilities he could go back to the good ol’ days of the much maligned 4-4-2, this would be an interesting one, but with the lack of wingers available it would call for playing creative players out of position, square pegs in round holes if you will.

A system that I recall Wenger using very infrequently but has used when down to 10 men strangely last season was the 3-5-2 (or 3-5-1 as it was) this is flexible and with Liverpool recently adopting a 4-4-2 system themselves to accommodate the return of the biter Luis Suarez this could be a valid option.

3 centre backs

This would consist of Vermaelen Left, Per Mertesacker central and Koscielny on the right.

In effect the side would operate with wing backs which would be ideal for Kieran Gibbs on the left and likewise Bacary Sagna on the right.

3 Midfielders,

this would allow a little bit more freedom with the centre of midfield so you could get away with only playing one deep lying creative player in the place of an enforcer that is where Arteta would come in, ahead of him would be Ramsey and a pick of either Santi Cazorla or Jack Wilshere with Mesut Ozil in support of the main man Olivier Giroud.

Wenger seems scared to adapt from one game to the next and as every football fan knows that is a sign of a good tactician. Arsenal have the players to play various systems but Wenger just sees change as a sign of weakness, it is not it is a sign of a strong and talented squad. It will be interesting to see how both sides shape up in what is to be quite a cagey affair but also has the possibility of also being mouth watering.

Provisional Squad: Szczesny, Sagna, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Gibbs, Arteta, Wilshere, Ramsey, Cazorla, Ozil, Giroud, Fabianski, Vermaelen, Rosicky, Bendtner, Monreal, Jenkinson, Miyaichi.

Head-to-head

Four of the last six league meetings in north London have ended in draws, with one win apiece. Arsenal scored twice inside three minutes through Olivier Giroud and Theo Walcott to earn a draw from 2-0 down in the corresponding fixture last January.

Liverpool’s only win in their last 12 league games against Arsenal came at the Emirates Stadium in August 2011.

An Aaron Ramsey own goal and Luis Suarez strike gave Liverpool their only win at Arsenal in the last 13 years.

This is the 215th meeting between the clubs in all competitions. Liverpool lead by 82 wins to Arsenal’s 76.

Arsenal

The Gunners have earned 22 points out of the last available 24.

They are the only team to score in each of their Premier League matches this season.

Arsene Wenger’s side have taken the lead in eight of their nine league fixtures, the best record in the division.

November is Arsenal’s least productive month in Premier League history – they average only 1.55 points per game.

Aaron Ramsey has five goals and three assists in his last six league appearances.

Liverpool

Liverpool’s tally of 20 points after nine games represents their best Premier League start since 2008.

They have double the number of points they had at this stage last season.

The Reds have conceded in each of their last six league games, having started the season with three successive clean sheets.

They have hit the woodwork a league-high eight times this season.

Daniel Sturridge has scored 14 goals in his last 14 league appearances.

Luis Suarez has scored six goals in four league games since returning from suspension.

Simon Mignolet will make his 100th Premier League appearance. He has kept 33 clean sheets.

WENGER OUT PETITION

arsenalbanner

We will always be grateful to Arsene Wenger for what he has achieved at Arsenal. He has provided us with some beautiful history and given us moments we will never forget. None of us are denying Arsene has moments of being pure genius for us but in the last 8 years we have seen a big change and we as fans are fed up.

This has been an awful season to watch unveil and it is heartbreaking to see our club sink so low. Whilst we all blame the board for a lot of it there are just some things that Arsene Wenger has to take the blame for.

Arsene has made poor tactical decisions, team choices, and substitutions, we rarely see him animated and on the sidelines shouting like he used to, his after-match reports and press conferences leave a lot to be desired. His complete disregard for fans is disgusting, we are tired of hearing Wenger’s Word of the Week explanations and his silly quotes that indicate clearly his lack of ambition. He couldn’t convince RVP that he had enough ambition thus our best player walked away from Arsenal following a few others.

We at GIA have tried to delay organising this petition for as long as possible for many reasons. Despite none of us thinking that he would, we were hoping he would spend to boost our squad a little bit so we could at least compete for a Champion’s League place this season.

But today that has become very obvious that Arsene no longer holds the winning ambition that he once had and what Arsenal need now. He has refused to spend money and he stubbornly won’t change his tactics, he refuses to acknowledge that there is even an issue. Fans are even fighting amongst themselves online and even physically at games, this situation is dividing us and ruining the normal unity we all have. We believe that the time has finally come for us to petition Arsenal FC to remove Arsene Wenger from the Manager position and appoint a replacement. We want Wenger gone, we want the club to take some responsibility and make us soar up rather than sink down, we want Wenger OUT.

To join us in our Wenger Out movement Please sign this petition and forward on to Gooner’s everywhere. Let’s get as many signatures so we can present this to the club.

I Got The Arsenal Blues

Arsenal's Olivier Giroud

I am sitting here on a snowy Monday with the worst case of Arsenal depression I’ve had in a long time. I think this season is slowly starting to overtake the disaster season of 94/95 in which we finished 12th. I’m sorry to chuck numbers at you on a Monday and depressing ones at that but no matter which way we look at it this morning we are closer to Qpr in points than we are Man United, we are 22 points off the top and we are 7 points behind the Spuds. We have won just 41% of our games this season, lost 27% and drew 32%. We are in 6th place and have the same amount of points as Liverpool and West Brom. We have fallen further than I ever thought we would.

Yesterday’s game showed how weak we have become, there are only 2 or 3 players in our team that are putting their all into every game. The only positive I can take from this game is that in the second half we played so much better, and each week we are seeing glimpses of how it is supposed to be but it’s not enough consistency to win a game. There needs to be a huge improvement, a change in tactics and the team need some morale building exercises.

The January transfer window is looking even more likely like it is going to be a quiet one. Myself and SavvyGooner predicted that Wenger wouldn’t sign anyone in January and I’m gutted that looks like we’re going to be right. Of course there are the rumours flying around from certain ‘ITK’s’ but nothing concrete is announced from the club as of yet.

Wenger of course as usual has his two quotes which he uses ‘I won’t be buying because the team is strong enough’ and ‘of course we will buy but only exceptional players’. The trouble is his confusion techniques are only seen as humourous when we are competing for the league but when we are in the state we are currently I would be expecting Monsieur Wenger to be handling himself in a more appropriate manner and addressing the fans with an answer to why things are this bad and what he will do to build confidence up with the fans again.

The hardest thing to deal with about this current season is getting excited about games only for us to lose, draw and underperform, I don’t want to have to get used to Arsenal losing, I don’t want to get to the point where you kind of expect to lose and that is starting to sink in a little with me. Whatever is going on at the club and whoever is responsible I implore that you sort it out before it goes too far.

As usual I welcome any comments and feel free to follow me @thepitchisback and @Gunnersinarms

Dear Arsene…A Letter From A Fan

arsene-wenger11

Dear Arsene

When you joined Arsenal on 30th September 1996 I have to admit I didn’t know a lot about you, nobody really did, I can remember the phrase Arsene who? being used a lot. I soon learned who you were and was then pleased that Arsenal had hired you. Very quickly you made an impression at Arsenal and we finished a respectable 3rd in your first season. The next season was a dream season for Arsenal fans, one of the most prominent seasons in my mind, in the last few weeks of the season we regained 13 points on Man United to win the league at Everton and we also went on to win the F.A cup. It was my first double ever and I was so excited that we had actually won it.

Arsenetitle

The seasons that followed that were always full of beautiful football Arsene, you bought the best players and you changed the way football was played. Players had stricter diets and regular body and mental checks to enable them to play for you, you had a knack and knowledge for finding the best players and building a team around perfect striker partnerships, you used your knowledge to create one of the best teams in England, and you were responsible for 3 league wins, 5 F.A Cups, in that 2 doubles. You got us to a Champion’s league final against Barcelona, one of the best clubs in the world, yes we lost but we got there and that’s what mattered. We competed every season and there was always ambition there, you wanted to win, you wanted to make Arsenal the best in the world.

invincibles_682x_965618a

Arsene you will always be remembered for what is my favourite moment and that is ‘The Invincibles’. That was amazing, you had the perfect team there, everyone adored each other and when that team walked on that pitch they were a winning team, you could see it just by looking at them. Each and every player on that team deserved to be there and they were of the highest quality. They were your team Wenger, they used to come running up to you at the sidelines when they scored and there was an air of unity amongst team and manager. You made them and they made you, fully a team effort.

You were known as Le professeur for a reason. You deserved every bit of praise for what you have achieved at Arsenal in the past and you have achieved things other managers haven’t. But something went wrong after 2006, was it moving from the majestic Highbury to The ‘Souless Bowl’ that is the Emirates? or was it David Dein your right hand man and close friend leaving the club? Kroenke’s investment? Did you lose focus on football because you were concentrating on finance?

Whatever the reason, since 2006 we haven’t seen the Arsenal that you were so intent on creating. When you look at the team above compared to the team of today, there are just two players that would make it into the above team and that is Wilshere and Cazorla, ALL of the above team would walk into our team right now. You seem to have lost your way a little, it is understandable that you are under immense pressure, but had you just done things a little differently or kept up with your vision then we would be in a different state right now.

Bradford1_600x338_1636306a

This season has been a real turning point for Arsenal, the team and your career are all suffering  and there seems to be no solution or even an attempt at change anything on your part. Since September you have admitted that you are responsible for the financial vision at the club, you have sole control over player’s wages and who you buy, you pick the team, the tactics, you hold the training sessions and you are also responsible for the football that has been played this season. Has it become too much for you to handle? Have you been caught up in the control so much that you can’t see where you are going wrong? We are in the midst of our worst season under you and our worst season in 30 years, you are persisting with sub-standard players, you make crazy substitutions and even your match reports leave a lot to be desired. The flashes of brilliance are getting fewer and far between now and when is enough enough?

You have made some bad choices in the last few years and this has led to a huge number of fans losing their faith in you myself included, I lost my faith in the summer when you sold RVP and didn’t replace him well enough. You have divided fans in their opinion of you and your fans are now the minority amongst those who want you to leave. We went from being a winning club to being a mid table feeder club that wants to be rich. This season has been frustrating and painful for Arsenal fans to endure, it hasn’t been just a couple of bad games, it’s almost every game…We just want our Arsenal playing good football again.

arsenalbanner

Gone is that man above with a smile on his face and a winning look in his eye, you look tired Arsene, you look like a man who has fallen out of love and doesn’t know how to end the relationship, we know that look because we feel it ourselves as fans. This isn’t personal I can assure you it’s purely football. I thank you for all the history, achievements and memories but now it’s time for you to go.

From A Fan

Boring Boring Arsenal

jackwvs

So here we are in a brand new year and still we seem to be reliving an everlasting groundhog day at Arsenal. I don’t really understand what the hell is going on? How can you win a game 7-3 and play some of the ‘best’ football we’ve seen all season and then we come out and play as lacklustre and boring as we are in every other game before that and draw 1-1. For anyone who says “well it’s still a point” no it isn’t! It was an own goal, we played rubbish the whole way through that game. When you have ten outfield players and Szczesny is man of the match then what more can you say? Not taking anything away from Szczesny, he fully deserved it. We shouldn’t be this inconsistent, we have seen just mere flashes of the brilliance this team can achieve this season and we know they can do it so why aren’t they?

When you look at the team we have in their entirety they really aren’t that bad and really shouldn’t be struggling this much. We do need a few players to boost the squad up a little but this team should not be playing as bad as they are. There seems to be a lack of unity, morale, determination and heart. I don’t also think I’m alone in noticing there seems to be a bit of a divide in the team. If the player’s aren’t even getting on behind the scenes then how on earth do they ever expect to win anything on the pitch.

We are 20 games in and only have 34 points from a possible 60, that’s just over half. We all know this is Wenger’s worst ever start but it’s also Arsenal’s worst in 30 years. How much longer can we go on with this inconsistency? We are dropping valuable points in almost every game and something needs to change. Last night’s game was dreadful, the players looked more hungover than I felt. The passing was so inconsistent and sloppy, there wasn’t enough attempts to go forward and we lacked any attack and finish. Defensively we look so poor, there was zero ball control and Sagna completely was to blame for that first goal. How he is getting games over Jenkinson amazes me.

When Arsenal played Newcastle last week  in the 4-5-1 formation, we played better, not the best game but we actually saw progress and a spark of life so I really don’t understand why Wenger changed it back to the ever-failing 4-3-3 this week. His tactics and substitutions were debatable too. Wenger could buy anyone this transfer window and it won’t make a difference, it is Wenger himself that is the problem. We need a complete overhaul at Arsenal; we need new management and a full new coaching team, new scouting team, new board, new players and that is the only way we are going to get anywhere. Those that still want Wenger to stay then prepare yourselves for a rough ride.

Arsenal v Swansea Match report

101

Well what do you say about a day like Saturday? It was eventful to say the least. I’m tired of ripping the team apart tactically because actually we are failing on the same things every week and I’m bored of it so there is no tactical talk from me, plus you all saw the game so I am sure you don’t want to be reminded. There are also no positives about the team this week because I failed to find any…any at all.

On Saturday prior to the game I attended the BSM march with the Black Scarf Crew. We gathered together at the Cannons, interacted with each other and then marched along singing songs and had our say. It was inspiring to see so many people turn up and also how many people joined along the way. I know there are a few people who are of the opinion that it shouldn’t have happened I implore you to read the details of why the march happened before making that comment because it was specifically for the fans. It was great to see that despite what we were protesting about everyone discussing Arsenal in a good light. After the protest gather in Armoury square where we met with other fans who either joined in or watched.

I boycotted Saturday’s game after the walk and I went to watch it with a few other fans in the local pub and we could not believe what we were watching. That whole game was a complete and utter mess and showed up every single flaw we have within the team. We suck and that’s the bitter truth, not one person in our team had a good game, when that final whistle blew and those 11 men in red just looked completely downhearted, downtrodden and lost and I felt for them, I really did, because in that moment I think they truly felt everything we felt.

Steve Bould apparently shouted at the players in the dressing room after the game and gave them a good talking too which I think is a great thing, they need someone to do that. I question why Wenger didn’t do that himself? Has the main man forgotten that he is the one in control and he should be shouting at all of them and he should have shouted way before Saturday’s game.

How many more games can Arsenal afford to lose? We are not even at the halfway point yet and we are sitting in 10th place with all our rivals above us. Wenger can go out in January and buy 3 £6million players and I don’t think it would make the slightest bit of difference we are lacking tactically and players are doing rubbish, this is all Wenger’s choice and I don’t trust that he’ll make the right choice in January either. How can you let it get this bad at a club before something is done?

WENGER OUT!!!!!

arsenebye

I have just witnessed possibly the worst display from an  Arsenal side ever, well maybe in my lifetime anyway.  No desire, no real passion creativity was at zero. but I think worst of all was the tactically inept Wenger yet again. He resembles nothing short of a wounded animal that just is begging to be put out of his misery.  Our worst start since 94-95 when we finished 12th.  There are many Wenger supporters at the club. I dare you to defend him after the team he put out today.  To say we started off slow would be an understatement we created absolutely nothing in the first half, completely outplayed and over-run in every single department. could and probably should have been down by a couple at Half time. somehow we were all square.

First 10 minutes of the second half we looked like we improved although it was more to do with 10 headless chickens putting pressure on Swansea around pitch more than any type of cohesion or craft. that quite quickly evaporated and it reverted to type as it was in the first half and add defensive mistakes. Michu rapped up a quite comprehensive win for Swansea 0-2.
If I hear one more “Expert/Pundit” say its down to the players I will scream. So are these the same players that our “Saviour” or “Messiah” for a better word put his faith in and declared are good enough to win the title back in August. the same players that consistently under perform and were also drafted in or bought by Wenger.
The buck stops with the Manager it always has and it always will and to a certain extent it always should.
I would love to know when he is going to ditch this 4-3-3 mutation he plays. IT DOESN’T WORK its plain to see. I would go 4-1-3-2. we just don’t have enough upfront to pose teams any problems. I am incredibly bored with him thinking Mikel Arteta is good enough to screen the back four. I would have to go one more and say he isn’t good enough at all. its the same names that put in a shift. Jack Wilshere and Santi Cazorla were our best players today. our back four was at sea for most of the 90 minutes, wojciech szczesny did his best to keep it down to 0-2. he was beat by 2 one on ones so I cant attach any blame there. its been said many times this season there is no cohesion. that’s what happens when you sell half your squad every summer and have to panic buy to replace them. and it was the same old same old. No service equals no goals. But starting Gervinho through the middle why does he persist with this tactic that is set up to fail. He is too stubborn or maybe arrogant to change his way of thinking. If I was on the board I would be asking him to step aside maybe make him a board member now or tell him to just go. There comes a point when a Manager has taken a club as far as he can and it is past that time. since we won the FA Cup in 2005 we have gone a step back every season. It seems every season he has is worse than before. he makes the same mistakes on the pitch tactically or in the Transfer Market. We have to be the most patient club in the Premier league. If he was at any other big club he would have been shown the door ages ago.
I will finish by throwing in my enemy Ivan Gazidis he was quoted earlier this week saying “We will be in a financial position to challenge Man Utd, Chelsea and Man City”. if that’s the case which it evidently is not, or we surely would be. put your money where your mouth is, because The club I love is dwindling towards an abyss. the longer things stay the same the further we will fall. even a blind man could see that.
Feedback Welcome as always.

It’s Time to Step Up And Be Counted

After a more than dis-satisfying performance away at Aston Villa on Saturday evening. I am hoping for a lot more against Everton and to get anything out of this we are going to need to show a lot more. Goodison Park is a tough place to go at the best of times and with us out of form I can see this being a tight affair indeed.

I would like to see Sagna recalled in at right back to combat the ever dangerous Leighton Baines (who we should have snapped up a couple of summers ago). would definitely stick with koscielny and Mertesacker at centre back also keep Gibbs in on the left I feel he gives us something more going forward and looks a lot better defensively this season. now our Midfield 3 which was the major concern at the weekend and has been for a while now. going to be controversial here and say I would Start Coquelin and just get him to sit, Everton have good movement in midfield and we will need that protection. then would go with Wilshere and obviously Cazorla who has to play he is our spark whenever he performs we perform. front 3 picks itself at the moment with Walcott having more shoulder problems will more than likely be the same front 3 we played against Villa. Podolski and Oxlade-chamberlain on the wings with Olivier Giroud up front. he is going to need a lot of good service.

I would give some serious thought to changing our formation but as there is little time to implement the changes properly would have to say keeping the current system is likely to be the best course of action for this game.

In the last 5 Previous meetings at Goodison Park we are unbeaten with 4 wins and a draw. last seasons game was incredibly tight and cagey with just the one goal from TV5 who I would say is unlikely to feature tomorrow.

I am hoping for a much better display on Wednesday night from our boys. they need to take a good long look at their performances from Saturday evening they have a lot to prove to the fans. we need to see some heart and desire. which was seriously lacking at Villa Park.

All feedback welcome as always

Arsenal v Villa Match Report…What is Wenger hanging around for?

As you may have noticed from the last few match reports I have been trying to start with the positives, but the only positive I have from the game at Villa Park is the away fans. You guys were amazing, throughout that whole game I heard nothing but noise from them, most of it was positive chants encouraging the team on, we were loud and clear to hear. There were negative chants of “You don’t know what you’re doing” but they were fully deserved. I can honestly say that if I had paid and travelled to watch that Arsenal game yesterday I would have been shouting my ass off in complaint of the travesty that yesterday’s game was. I commend you away fans, for being positive when there was nothing to be positive about. Us fans possess more spirit and tenacity then the team we support at the moment.

Yesterday’s game was awful, just awful. We lacked everywhere and we also looked like a team that was falling apart at the seams. Everywhere Gooners seem to be chucking out the phrase “we won the last two games” as a consolation…Is that really how bad it has got at Arsenal? The truth is that yes it is that bad. We didn’t win those last two games with outstanding performances, we didn’t win on one-two perfect football, great tactics and team spirit we won those games with a one-man advantage and uninspiring performance in which we were lucky.

In a week where Di Matteo was sacked for two trophies and a 57% win rate we are clutching on to a manager who has 38% win rate. It just doesn’t make sense. Wenger has gone mad I think, whilst everyone around him, fans, pundits, other footballers can all see that we are not tactically modernising to play in today’s game.

We failed completely to do any one-two passing consistently enough in Saturday’s game, it was the sloppiest passing I had ever seen. Villa completely outplayed us, they moved through our midfield with ease and they dominated huge parts of the game. The defence was the only thing that saved us yesterday, they were great. Really couldn’t pick them apart. One thing I have noticed week in and week out is the failure to get far enough into the box, Podolski and Giroud rarely seem to get there quick enough.

Wenger’s substitutions are really questionable of late, well let’s be honest his whole management style should be questioned but yesterday’s subs were just stupid. Arshavin the one season wonder and Gervinho the 2-game wonder? What the hell were you thinking Wenger? Why on earth he persists with Ramsey I do not know? I actually questioned whether he was in a relationship with him last week. Ramsey’s passing and tackling is poor, I thought it was temporary but it’s not. Loan him to Swansea/Sunderland(not Stoke) for a season and see how he goes.

Any true Gooner watching that game yesterday cannot sit here this morning and be wholly satisfied and confident that Wenger is the manager that will win us anything in the future. You can’t seriously look at that crap and believe that this is the board…This is Wenger, he had money to spend and a choice of players, he is the one that is putting the team out every week, he is the guy that is making bad subs in the 70th minutes. It is just delusions of grandeur from Arsene and the club. It’s time for him to step down now, leave with a bit of self-respect intact and with the knowledge that he did good once and made history.
